Hedgies
You start on an abandoned plot of land that was once a farm. Your trusty companion is Hedgy — a hardworking hedgehog. Clear the land of bushes, rocks and debris to make room for garden beds, trees and buildings. Plant apple trees, carrots, tomatoes, corn, wheat and many other crops — every harvest feeds your crafting and trading. The farm offers a kitchen, a juicer, an oven, a soup pot and other production stations where you cook dishes and turn raw materials into valuable goods. Every action costs energy: clearing bushes, planting crops, building structures. Energy regenerates at a rate of 1 point per minute (up to 100), and you can earn extra from gifts and neighbor visits. This creates a pleasant rhythm of short sessions — drop in for a few minutes, take care of the essentials, and come back later. As you level up, new territories open — beyond a broken bridge, across a glacier, to a distant shore and further still. Each new area brings unique resources, buildings and recipes. Build the Science Machine to research advanced recipes. Upgrade your tools at the Smithery to spend less energy per action. Hedgy is a fine host: he can cook, fish, craft and welcome guests. Visit your neighbors' farms, exchange gifts and gather rare materials that cannot be found on your own plot. Throw festivals and culinary competitions for the valley's residents.
